Hi there,
I recently purchased a 3DIO microphone which was working fine up until now. It is no longer picking up audio regardless of how high the sensitivity is.
The only time I can get it to pick anything up is when I connect and disconnect the cable, or have the cable in a certain spot.
Even when picking up noise, it is purely white noise and does not pick up any actual audio.
Could this be an issue with the cable or is this a known issue at all?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hi @Maple Rosswood,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your mic.
Have you tried replacing the 9V battery? When the level of the battery inside the microphone is low or dead, then the microphone will stop working.
Here is a quick tutorial video on how to replace the 9V battery inside the microphone: https://youtu.be/7wF1YtdqUV8
Give this a try with a brand new battery. Let us know if the microphone still is not working and we’d be happy to help further troubleshoot.
Best regards,
~Brian

I tried with a new battery and it still did not work, it looks to be maybe a port or cable issue.
Thank you
Hi @Maple Rosswood,
Thank you for giving that a try.
Can you tell me a little bit more about the issue?
Was the microphone working properly when you received it?
What equipment are you plugging the microphone into?
What are the settings on the device you’re connecting to the 3Dio?
What type of cables are you using?
Are there any adapters in use?
Feel free to attach pictures or a video of your audio setup if that’s easier. It would also be helpful to get a short audio clip so we can hear what you’re hearing. Simply speak in front and around the mic at a normal speaking volume so we can get a volume and gain reference level.
Any other information you can provide would be helpful.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
~Brian
