How does it connect to a computer?
In order to connect to a computer, you will need a stereo audio interface to convert the signal from analog to digital and boost the signal from mic level to line level.

How do I change the battery?
To access the 9V battery, simply remove the 4 screws from the top of the microphone's center enclosure and remove the lid.

How long does the battery last?
A brand new 9V alkaline battery will last approximately 300+ hours of continuous use. We recommend keeping the 3Dio microphone power switch in the OFF position when not in use to preserve the battery life.
How do I record into my phone or tablet?
Recording into your phone or tablet requires a special audio interface that converts the microphone signal from analog to digital, has a preamp that boosts the signal, AND is compatible with mobile device operating systems. We recommend the iRig Pro Duo 2-channel audio interface.

How do I clean my 3Dio microphone?
To clean, we recommend dampening a paper towel with warm water and gently wiping the surface of the ears. When cleaning, avoid touching the small microphone capsule located inside each ear canal.
What is the difference between the microphones?
The FS and FS XLR models both have a frequency range of 50 - 20 kHz. The FS XLR model has balanced outputs and maintains pristine audio for long cable runs. The XLR outputs also allow for infinite use when applying phantom power (bypassing the internal 9V battery). The FS Pro II model features DPA 4060 hi-sensitivity microphone capsules and a flat frequency response range of 20 - 20 kHz (soft boost of 3db 8-20kHz). The Free Space Pro II also has a higher S/N ratio than the FS and FS XLR and a much lower noise floor. All models come standard with an 1/8” stereo output jack. The FS XLR and FS Pro II models both feature two male XLR output jacks.

Once your order is fulfilled and shipped, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a link to your order status page. The order status page will contain a link to track your order via the shipping carrier's website.

Why am I being charged VAT and customs duties?
For international orders, 3Dio does not collect VAT or customs duties on behalf of the customer during the checkout process. 3Dio is not responsible for payment of import taxes. These taxes vary from country to country and are invoiced by the shipping carrier (DHL or UPS) prior to delivery. Please check with your local customs agency for rates and more information.

Why hasn't my package been delivered?
Unfortunately, shipping delays happen from time to time. For the most up-to-date information about the status of your shipment, you can always track the order on the shipping carrier's website (UPS, USPS or DHL). Alternatively, you can view your order status and track the order in the My Account section. You can also reach out to us and we can inquire with the shipping carrier on your behalf.
How does international shipping work?
Ordering internationally is easy and we ship all over the world to most countries.
To order, simply add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout.
After you enter your shipping information, our website will provide the available international shipping options (UPS or DHL) along with the calculated rate for the shipping address you provided.
Once you select your shipping options, just enter your payment information and complete the purchase.
Once your purchase is complete, we will package up your order and send you a shipping confirmation email with the tracking information.
The shipment info will be sent to the shipping carrier and they will contact you directly via phone or email to collect the VAT and/or customs duties due for your shipment.
3Dio does not collect VAT and/or customs duties for ALL shipments outside the US. The VAT charges are invoiced by the shipping carrier (UPS or DHL) and must be paid prior to accepting delivery. The shipping carrier will typically email an invoice to the package recipient prior to delivery, which can be paid online.
