ASMR mic has crackling and sounds like it is underwater

    Hello, I bought the microphone yesterday and tested it out and from the beginning it had a consistent interference type sound in the background, even though the microphone sounded OK.

    After using it for a few hours it sounds worse now, like the microphone is muffled, sounds like it is underwater, and the crackling is still there. I haven't replaced the 9V battery yet.

    Could you help me with some troubleshooting so I can test if the microphone is broken or if there is something I can do to get it working properly again please? I am worried that something has got into the condenser mic and is perhaps blocking the microphone from receiving sound correctly, but I am not sure the best, safest way to clean it.

    I can attach a recording so you can see what it sounds like but not sure how I can do that in this post.

    Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your microphone. I'm happy to help troubleshoot.

    First, can you tell me what equipment you are plugging the microphone into? And what are the settings on the equipment? What cables are you using?

    Have you tried replacing the 9V battery yet? When the battery level is low, the volume level will be low or there will be a static sound that may be heard.

    Any information you can provide would be helpful. Feel free to provide a video or photos if that is easier.
