Hi,
We have a cool project to record with a 3Dio Mike on an indoor bicycle 🚴 track.
We're wondering what the best way is to mount the mic on the bike.
There are some solutions I found on the web but we should mount the recorder as well on there.
And these are race bikes.
Thanks for all suggestions.
Greetings
Peter
Hi @Peter Baert,
Thank you for your question! That is a cool project!
First, I would recommend getting this to mount to the bike. This should give you the flexibility you need to attach it any part of the bike: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C882D4M
Second, depending on where you place the mount, you may need added flexibility for adjusting the angle of the microphone to ensure it remains upright and pointing the same direction that the bike is traveling: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKW7V14
Third, I'd also recommend purchasing our windmuffs. Traveling even at a relatively slow speed on a bike is going to introduce wind noise and our wind muffs will filter out the vast majority of the wind: https://3diosound.com/products/professional-wind-muffs
Lastly, if you're also mounting a recorder, you can purchase a second bike mount or you can purchase our camera bracket. However, I'd actually recommend a 2nd bike mount if you have the room, simply because it is less expensive and will provide you with more flexibility with placement and positioning of the recorder. If you do decide to add the 3Dio camera bracket, you'll need to pickup some 1/4"-20 thumb screws to connect the recorder to the bracket: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LVYL7HV/
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
~Brian
